Museum Code of Conduct
Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose is pleased to invite families of all backgrounds to engage in positive experiences that spark imagination and stimulate curiosity. To support positive visits, the Museum expects the following from all guests:
Be a role model for children.
Remember that you are setting an example for your children and others through your conduct in the Museum.
Respect others.
Be courteous to those around you. Please do not touch or verbally reprimand a child from another family. If you need assistance, ask a staff member.
Use positive language and actions.
Profanity, harassment, threatening language and physical interactions, abuse of any kind or other inappropriate public behavior are strictly prohibited.
Assume good intentions.
Please understand that children’s play with interactive exhibits is often joyful and exuberant. This may mean that another child’s play may unintentionally interfere with your child’s play. Touching, colliding, and reaching for the same object may innocently occur between children.
The Museum reserves the right to refuse admission, revoke membership, control occupancy, or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by the management to be disorderly or fails to comply with this Code of Conduct.
Wheelchair Access
Exhibit spaces are wheelchair accessible, and offer multi-sensory, layered experiences for children of varying developmental stages, interests, and backgrounds.

Museums for All
Children’s Discovery Museum is proud to be part of the Museums for All national initiative.
Museums for All makes museum visits affordable for low-income families, offering access to educational exhibits, programs, and events during regular hours. This initiative, by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Association of Children’s Museums, promotes inclusiveness regardless of background or ability to pay. Tickets must be purchased in person, and no advance reservations are needed. A set number of tickets are available for each session.
All Museums for All tickets must be purchased in-person at the Museum.
Reduced Admission tickets: $5 per person for up to four people during Museum hours when you show your photo ID and a valid, unexpired Calfresh EBT or SNAP EBT card.
Cards cannot be used for payment. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Our partnership with Museums for All is made possible by Contributing Members and Friends of Children’s Discovery Museum. Your Explorer, Developer, Partner and Leader Circle Membership at work!
